Salazar Slytherin and Voldemort's Family tree

 The Slytherin Family

Salazar Slytherin is one of the founders of the Hogwarts. He was known to have built the Chamber of Secrets in Hogwarts. Only his family can speak Parseltongue.

Most of the families in the Wizarding world is related to the three Peverell Brothers namely: Antioch(the wand) ,  Cadmus(resurrection stone) and Ignotus(invisible cloak) .The Peverell brothers are the origins of the deathly hallows. Each of them would have got a gift from death that were seemed to be passed on to their heirs (except the invincible wand). 

We know for a fact that Cadmus Peverell and Salazar Slytherin are related as the resurrection stone was passed down to Slytherin's successors through Slytherin's ring. From the Slytherin we have the Gaunt family, Gormalaith Gaunt and her sister Rianoch Gaunt. Rianoch Gaunt attaches to the Sayre family as she married William Sayre and had a daughter named Isolt Sayre ( Founder of Ivermony Wizarding school ). 

Isolt later married a muggle named James steward , had two daughters and adopted two boys namely: Webster and Charlie Boot. Charlie Boot later on connects to Terry Boot a Ravenclaw student during Harry's time.

Coming back to the Gaunts , Gormalaith killed Isolt's parents and later met her ultimate death through Isolt. Thus came an end to American Gaunt family but not the entire Gaunt family.

There lived another Gaunt in England named Corvinus Gaunt who was the ancestor of Marvalo Gaunt. Marvalo had to two kids: Merope Gaunt and Morfin Gaunt.

Merope connects us to the muggle family: Riddle. She and Tom Riddle Sr. had Tom Riddle Jr. aka Lord Voldemort. Hence the Salazar Slytherin's family tree.

( It is said that Lord Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange had a daughter named Delphini whose story is the entire Cursed Child Book.)

So we have so far seen seven families:

1. Slytherin
2. Peverell
3. Gaunt
4. Boot
5. Steward
6. Sayre
7. Riddle
